Where documents live
One document, three lists: with the visit it came from, with the patient, and in Documents. Its status says whether it is a draft, signed, or shared.
Three places, one document
- With the visit
- The note, the visit summary, the letter and the codes stay with the visit they came from.
- With the patient
- The patient page lists what was shared with her, when, and whether she opened it, and the drafts and signed documents of the practice.
- In Documents
- Everything, across patients, by status: shared, signed, drafts for your signature.

Three states
- Draft
- Written by Mosaic, carries your name only after you sign. Drafts are yours to change.
- Signed
- In the chart, dated, copied into the practice software where it belongs there.
- Shared
- Sent to the patient or a colleague as a link, under your name. The list of what was shared with whom is in the chart.
