Das Brustzentrum is an ambulatory breast-cancer centre in Berlin: physicians, a study team, and years of records behind every patient. Studies are part of everyday care here — when a protocol fits, it is often the best option the practice can offer.
Every new protocol restarts the same search. The study list lives in a spreadsheet, next to a certified practice system that already holds every answer but cannot be asked a question across patients. Biomarkers sit in scanned PDFs. Therapy lines live in free text. Checking eligibility means re-reading records, one patient at a time.
Mosaic runs on a practice machine and reads what appears on screen during routine documentation. Nothing is exported, patient identity never leaves the practice, and the team changes nothing about how it works. In the background, the record becomes a structured, cited history.
One protocol. Mosaic answered the criteria the record could answer, flagged the ones needing a clinician, and returned a short list of candidates with the evidence attached — turning “read everything” into “review these few”. Every result was checked by the study team before it counted.
