Not ordered, and why
- Testosterone, cortisol, omega-3 index, zinc, magnesiumOn the commercial panels he mentioned; no guideline asks for them in a 44-year-old without symptoms, and none changes a decision here.
- PSANot recommended at 44 without a family history.
- “Biological age”Not a laboratory value.
How it reaches the laboratory
- Order
- Sent through the laboratory's order-entry portal from the practice software; labels and the private form print with it. Where a practice has no order entry, the same sheet prints as the order.
- Material
- Serum, EDTA, NaF blood, spot urine. Fasting from 22:00 the evening before; water is fine.
- Result
- Returns as an LDT report into the chart, usually within two working days. Mosaic reads it the moment it lands and drafts the review.
